5 WAYS TO BUILD A Cosmetic COLLECTION

Updated: Jul 23, 2023

Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to upgrade your current makeup and skincare drawer, here are five ways to start building a new beauty collection.

THIS POST HAS BEEN ARCHIVED.

WORK AT A MAKEUP COUNTER You "play" in makeup all day and get paid for it, you see all of the new releases first and companies often times give employees gifts and gratis: an amount you can spend on products for yourself.

ATTEND A MASTER CLASS/COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL Like any class or school you attend, you're going to need school supplies... Bingo! You'll receive in-depth training on how to use new cosmetics effectively and have a starter kit at your disposal that's yours to keep.

FREE GIFT WITH PURCHASE (GWP)

A popular trend in department stores that you can now take advantage of almost everywhere. Other promotions typically take away from the value of the product by offering a discount, but free gwp truly gives you more for less. An eligible purchase can score you additional cosmetic items that typically make up a small gift set and is at NO additional cost.

SHOP GIFT SETS Value sets help your beauty budget go farther by adding many new items to your collection at once and a better price then purchasing each item individually.

BEAUTY SUBSCRIPTION BOXES

I have not personally tried this method of exploring new products but I have become increasingly enticed by BoxyCharm, Ipsy Glam and Soko Glam to name only some of the many out there.

And, while a subscription beauty box makes a great gift for yourself, it can also be an ideal present for a beauty-obsessed friend or loved one, especially if you’re not sure exactly what they might like.

Rich Lux unboxed his first BoxyCharm base box of the year and the first item he pulled out retailed at $90... a base box itself only costs $25 girl!!!

So tell me... what new items will you be adding to the cart this year? And what are you ditching in 2021? Join @TKEYAHONLINE and log on to leave a comment!
